Tender Stone Form Studies

Working notes

Through simple exercises we revisit ideas for reading a study slowly through the changing light of a day. A scrap of paper holds the first trial, then we shift the balance of the page until the smallest change becomes clear.

In a modest space we keep suggestions for grouping similar marks with an eye for imperfect edges. An ordinary detail becomes the first prompt, then we try the same idea on a fresh sheet before deciding what to leave alone.
